Summary: This side event will focus on the urgent need to meaningfully finance and support youth-led organizations, especially those led by young women, girls, and marginalized groups. Against the backdrop of the 4th Financing for Development (FFD4) Conference and the Summit of the Future’s Youth Action Day, it will highlight the critical role young people play in advancing sustainable development and social justice, despite being largely excluded from global financing decisions. The event will showcase successful models and strategies for resourcing youth leadership, spotlight youth-led recommendations for more equitable funding, and feature commitments from donors, member states, and civil society. It will also include creative tools like visual explainers and animations to demystify global financial processes and empower young people to advocate for their inclusion in decisions that will shape their futures.
